1. Information We Collect

Account Information

We collect your name, email address, and profile picture via OAuth authentication. We do not store your passwords.

Content You Provide

You retain full ownership of all companies, notes, documents, investments, and investor records stored within Fondaco.

Email Data

When you forward emails to your Fondaco inbox address, we process them to extract company information, contacts, and attachments for your pipeline.

Usage Data

We collect usage analytics to improve the Service using PostHog. Before you provide consent, analytics are collected anonymously without cookies. If you accept analytics cookies, we associate usage data with your account to provide a better experience. You can opt out at any time via Settings. We do not track you across other websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and operate the Service; process content through AI features; send transactional emails (notifications, digests); improve the Service through aggregate usage patterns; and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing

Fondaco uses third-party AI providers to power features like email classification and deal extraction. These providers operate under enterprise terms and do not use your data for model training. AI processing occurs on-demand only when you use these features.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with: AI providers for feature processing; PostHog Inc. for product analytics (only with your consent); infrastructure vendors necessary for service delivery; law enforcement when legally required; and third parties with your explicit consent.

5. Data Security

We protect your data with TLS 1.2+ encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, multi-entity data isolation, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.

6. Cookies

Fondaco uses essential cookies for authentication and session management that do not require consent. With your permission, we also use analytics cookies (provided by PostHog) to understand how you use the product and improve it. You control analytics cookies via the consent banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your preference at any time in Settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for the duration of your active subscription. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your data in CSV or JSON format; and object to certain processing activities; and request deletion of your analytics data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@fondaco.ai.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Analytics data is processed by PostHog Inc. on servers in the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place for all international data transfers.

10. Age Restrictions

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
